Karaoke fever! #17

Made on a page of the 1793 book, Complettes Oeuvres De J. J. Rousseau, 3 5/8 x 5 7/8"

One of a series of 28 illustrations I did for this book project for Bill Roberts' Bottle of Smoke Press.

When I was in high school listening to Cheap Trick and the Ramones, this girl that I was completely in love with tried to tell me that Tom Petty was actually cool and his record (he only had the one at the time) was pretty good. But even teenage love couldn't get me to listen to Petty. It still can't. The same girl also tried to wean me off Alice Cooper and onto Patti Smith, but I wasn't falling for that trap either. Though, okay, she was right about that one. But I couldn't trust her because of god damn Tom Petty.
