I know a guy from Germany, and his name is Roni, so for years whenever I thought of him or mentioned him to someone else I said "Ronny," like an American would. But then he came to Los Angeles and we were meeting up and he left a message on my phone saying, "This is Roni," only he said it like Rice-A-Roni, so I had to readjust my whole vocabulary from that point. Germans. If it isn't one thing it's another with them.
